Outdoor BBQ Tonight
Like everyone else who spends time working on their backyard, T and I want to show ours off. To do that, we are hosting a dinner this evening. We have beef, pork, and fish along with a veggie salad that is made up of seven different vegetables, all grown in our backyard. The other couples will bring a prepared dish each and our neighbor, a pastry chef, has made a banana creme cake for dessert.
As the late light of summer is slipping away, we have the deck lined with solar powered tiki torches. I’ve also made up a big bowl of spiked punch that is from a recipe my mom learned from her mom when she was growing up in the Philippines. I’ll add some dry ice so we will get the mist coming off the top.
